This being my 50th year in elective office, I thought long and hard about whether I should consider doing something different in the years ahead. The truth is there is nothing I would rather do more. This is the best job anyone could ever have because I work for the best people anyone could ever ask for.
In representing more than 600,000 people, I know that I cannot always be in agreement with everyone on every issue. The people of the 10th Congressional District, however, know me and we are comfortable with each other. They trust me to always be honest with them and to tell them where I stand on various issues and why.
Beverly and I believe this special relationship we have with you an d the others I represent is just too special to give up so that is why I am seeking reelection to serve as your Congressman.
Please know that your friendship and support is the most important thing to me and to Beverly and that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us do so much good for our community.
